you to be a key contributor to our disability center of excellence
located in Farmington, CT.
Disability Underwriter
Job Responsibilities:
-
Perform case-specific risk assessment and
rate development on new cases and complex existing business
-
Assist management in developing and
driving market and sales strategies, participate in product
enhancements and pricing
-
In-depth knowledge of disability products
(STD, LTD, DBL,TDB, FML), markets, and regulatory issues required
-
Ability to make effective decisions based
on strong knowledge of all financial implications
-
Ability to interpret factors that
influence market and competitive conditions
-
Recognized as a leader and expert in
disability underwriting practice
Qualifications:
-
College degree or equivalent work
experience with a minimum of 5-7 years Disability Underwriting
experience
-
Proven negotiation and conflict
resolution skills
-
Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
-
Must possess strong Excel and Access
skills
-
Monthly travel to Neptune, NJ location
required
